The UK’s Watson & Hillhouse, which has specialised in the provision of pile-driving equipment since 1972, has joined forces with Dutch specialist equipment manufacturer Dieseko and Finland’s Movax to form a new platform under DevCo ownership, united by a shared long-term ambition: to build a leading global piling and foundation equipment platform.

Finland’s DevCo is dedicated to building and developing world leading companies in selected niche markets. It provides its companies with hands-on operational resources, strategic support and significant financial resources to support step changes in performance

DevCo is currently a significant owner of three global niche leaders: Bluefors, Medix Biochemica and Vexve. Its aim is to become an active owner in a handful of companies with revenues of €50-500 million.

The latest move, under the banner ‘Founding the Future’, brings together three companies in the piling equipment market.

Watson & Hillhouse, headquartered in Ipswich with a northern depot in Warrington, is a specialist in piling and foundation equipment with a long heritage of technical expertise, equipment solutions and customer support.

Dieseko, based in the Netherlands, is a global leader in innovative piling and foundation equipment and deep foundation solutions, with operations in key markets including the Netherlands, the United States, Australia and Poland.

Finland’s Movax is a world-leading specialist in excavator-mounted piling and foundation equipment with customers in more than 75 countries across six continents.

Together, the businesses combine global reach, strong local presence and an extensive international dealer network, creating a broader platform to serve customers around the world. DevCo believes that, by building on each company’s heritage, technical expertise and trusted customer relationships, the new platform strengthens its ability to innovate, expand its capabilities and create long-term value for customers.
