Wordsensing has launched its new Loadsensing G7 Digital Data Logger.

A new datalogger, designed to transform wireless data acquisition for digital sensors across the industrial, structural, geotechnical and environmental monitoring sectors, has been launched by Worldsensing, the specialist in IoT (Internet of Things) remote monitoring solutions headquartered in Barcelona, Spain.

The Loadsensing G7 Digital Data Logger is robust enough to be used in many challenging locations, and its low power consumption gives extended battery life. Loadsensing G7 Digital Data Logger supports a wide range of interfaces including SDI-12, Pulse Counter and Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR).

Featuring an Advanced Operational Mode, the G7 Digital Data Logger processes data locally to react in real time, optimizing battery life and reducing transmission overhead. Its Triggered Measurements Mode (TMM) utilizes a built-in 3-axis accelerometer to detect motion or ground movement, automatically triggering primary sensor readings when user-defined thresholds are breached.

Worldsensing product director Francesc Agüera said at the launch: “The launch of the Loadsensing G7 Digital Logger represents a major leap forward in edge-intelligence for critical infrastructure monitoring. By integrating advanced operational modes, seamless SDI-12 digital sensor connectivity, built-in TDR technology, and environmental self-diagnostics into a single, low-power device, we are empowering engineering teams to transition from static data collection to truly autonomous, event-driven monitoring strategies.”

Key technical features of the Loadsensing G7 Digital Data Logger include:

  • SDI-12 Port: Connects chains of digital sensors for industrial, structural, geotechnical, and environmental monitoring using the industry-standard SDI-12 interface;
  • Integrated TDR: Features a built-in Time Domain Reflectometer to locate cable faults and detect soil fractures or ground movement;
  • Internal Diagnostics: Integrated barometer, temperature, and humidity sensors track internal conditions and enclosure sealing integrity;
  • 10+ Year Battery Life: Supports user-replaceable 3.6V D-size high-energy batteries for long-term field deployment;
  • Ruggedized & Certified: IP68-rated aluminum alloy housing operating from -40 °C to 80 °C;
  • Easy Setup: Features fast Bluetooth configuration via the Worldsensing App and a universal USB-C port.

The G7 Digital Data Logger enables reliable, long-term monitoring across critical infrastructure, including:

  • Geotechnical Monitoring: Lateral ground movement of tailings dams, landslides, slope stability, and underground tunnel excavation;
  • Structural Health Monitoring: Monitoring loads in rock bolts and ground anchors;
  • Water Management: High-precision liquid level, water quality, flow, and pressure monitoring.

The device holds comprehensive global certifications, including FCC/ISED (North America), CE/UKCA (Europe & Middle East), ANATEL/MTC/SUBTEL (Latin America), and ACMA (Asia & Australia).
